How would one describe a mandu?

Mandu has become an fun and endearing nickname in substitution of Amanda, inspired by the Korea's No. 1 dumpling brand often found in the frozen section of food markets. Desu plays off with a rhyme stating "I am mandu" in Japanese. While it also denotes my desire to learn other languages, I often used this pseudonym on the internet.

The nickname gained traction at the beginning of the pandemic. Many friends found it amusing to associate me with dumplings that it has stuck ever since. It stands as a reminder of my naive and free-spirited demeanor upon entering college, just learning to bravely step outside of one's own humble abode. Younger me would be so proud to know of the amount of support and love I received—from California to China—despite coming from a small, secluded town in Pennsylvania.
